Wednesday's forecast for the Northland: Temps to climb near 80

After some much-needed rainfall overnight, showers will move out quickly Wednesday with some lingering fog in the morning. Sunshine returns in the afternoon along with very warm temperatures.

Wednesday: Many areas picked up over an inch of much-needed rainfall overnight. Dense fog will develop behind the rain in the morning. Once the fog clears out we will be looking at a sunny and very warm day with an afternoon high near 78 degrees.

Wednesday night: A few clouds will pass through overnight with a mild low near 53.

Thursday: Sunshine and breezy west winds gusting up to 20 mph will make for a warm Thursday with a high near 72.

An area of high pressure will move in by the end of the week and stay with us into the weekend with plenty of sunshine and slightly cooler temperatures in the 60s.
