Overcast skies and clouds will keep us from seeing much sunshine today as a warm front begins to push through the region.

Wednesday: We may see a few light rain or snow showers, with the best chance of any activity being in the afternoon across Northern Minnesota. Temperatures will slowly climb from the low 30s this morning to an afternoon high near 36.

Wednesday night: We will keep a chance of scattered light rain and snow showers in the forecast for the evening which will mix with freezing drizzle at times overnight with a low near 31.

Thursday: A second and slightly stronger system will track to our south on Thursday and bring a better chance of a wintry mix and some gusty northerly winds. The morning commute could be slick due to the potential for freezing drizzle mixing in at times. We will see an afternoon high near 38 and the wintry mix continues throughout the day.

The wintry mix will transition to all snow by Thursday night and end by early Friday morning. Accumulations will likely only be an inch or two in the Twin Ports but areas along the South Shore could see 3-6 inches by the time it all wraps up. Sunshine and 30s return by Saturday.
