Wednesday: Lighter winds with plenty of sunshine will make for a pleasant and mild Thursday. Although winds will be lighter around 5 to 10 mph, they will still be out of the southeast and create a large temperature difference between the hillside and areas near the shoreline of Lake Superior. We should top out around 69 degrees on the hill with downtown likely struggling to hit the low 50s. Areas much farther inland and up north may even see some low 80s today with very high fire danger continuing.
Wednesday night: Clear skies and dry conditions continue with a mild overnight low near 48.
Thursday: Another day of sunshine is expected along with mild temperatures away from Lake Superior with an afternoon high near 68. It will again be cooler by the lake.
A chance of much-needed moisture will arrive in the form of hit and miss showers and thunderstorms late Friday and continuing off and on into Saturday and Sunday. We should dry out and stay nice and warm for Memorial Day.
