Thursday: Temperatures will top out about 10 degrees cooler than the beautiful day we enjoyed Wednesday thanks to colder air moving in with some breezy northwest winds gusting up to 25 mph. Temperatures will top out near 50 degrees with plenty of sunshine and high fire danger continuing to be a threat with the dry and gusty conditions.

Thursday night: Clear skies will be in place for most of the Northland, but a cold northerly wind over Lake Superior may spark off enough snow showers along the South Shore for a light dusting of snow. The rest of us will stay dry with a low near 24.

Friday: The sunshine and cooler temperatures will continue Friday with slightly lighter winds and a high near 45.

The weather pattern doesn’t change much heading into the weekend, with more dry weather and cooler than average temperatures sticking around, which means we will have to keep an eye on the fire danger once again.
