Thursday's forecast for the Northland: East wind keeps temps cool again

An east wind coming off Lake Superior will continue to be the dominating factor in our forecast the next few days, keeping cooler temperatures in the forecast near the shoreline and much warmer conditions inland.

Thursday: We are looking at mostly cloudy skies Thursday with a few peeks of sunshine and an afternoon high near 44 degrees.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy skies and quiet conditions should stick with us overnight with a low temperature near 31.

Friday: The lake breeze will still continue on Friday, but may lessen its grip slightly as winds turn a bit more out of the southeast. This will help temperatures climb to an afternoon high near 48 under mostly cloudy skies and a slight chance of a passing shower or two.

The mostly cloudy skies and slim chances for a spotty shower or two continue into Saturday with highs in the mid to upper 40s. By Sunday the winds shift out of the south with a little more sunshine and lower 50s will be possible.
