Duluth hit a record high of 73 degrees on Wednesday, Nov. 4, according to the National Weather Service.
The previous record was 69 degrees in 1975 according to the NWS daily climate report. Today's figure is 31 degrees higher than normal. On the same day last year, the city’s high temperature was 37 degrees.
International Falls surpassed the previous high record of 67 degrees set in 1975 by eight degrees, hitting 74 by 3:32 p.m. Brainerd hit a new record high of 75 degrees, surpassing the previous record of 73 degrees in 1975. Hibbing matched its record temperature of 71 degrees set in 1975. Ashland fell one degree short of meeting its record of 74 degrees.
NWS reports that the Northland temperatures are likely to remain in the high 50s to low 60s through the weekend.
