An area of low pressure will be swinging through the region to our south with snow extending northward all the way up into our area. The north shore can expect the most after this system moves out. A few inches or even up to a half foot will be possible there. Around Duluth and into a north central and northeastern Minnesota will picki up around 1-4" of snow with this system. Roads will likely be a little snow covered and slick both Saturday and Sunday once the snow starts to fly. As we head back to work early next week, temperatures will warm into the upper 20s both Monday and Tuesday with partly cloudy sky. Another winter system will start to form somewhere in the Upper Midwest and Northern Plains midweek which looks to bring our next chance of snow and then colder air to follow.

I grew up in Minnesota and my love of the outdoors lead me on a path to becoming in meteorologist. I got my Bachelor of Science in meteorology at St. Cloud State University. I started out my career as a TV meteorologist in Bismarck at KX News in 2010. I left Bismarck for Fargo in the fall of 2015 where I've been since working for WDAY as well as The Forum.
