Mild conditions last into the weekend with increasing chances of showers and thunderstorms.
Monday: An area of high pressure will begin building into the region from the north as the low pressure that brought rain to Northwest Wisconsin yesterday begins to pull away. Being wedged between these two systems will bring us a persistent east wind of 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph today. The east wind will keep temperatures much cooler by the lake with a high near 61 degrees and plenty of sunshine. The dry and windy conditions have also prompted a red flag warning for high fire danger.
Monday night: Clear skies and breezy east winds gusting up to 20 mph will continue with an overnight low near 42.
Tuesday: The sunshine and breezy weather pattern will continue for our Tuesday. We can expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 59 along with an east wind gusting up to 20 mph. Areas near the lake will once again remain much cooler than areas farther inland.
