Frost is possible early Friday morning in parts of Northeastern Minnesota, said the National Weather Service in Duluth.

"Isolated frost, mainly in low-lying areas, is possible tonight over interior portions of northeast Minnesota, including the Arrowhead, Hibbing, Virginia, Brimson, Embarrass and Ely areas," a weather outlook said in an online forecast Thursday.

Temperatures were expected to dip into the upper 30s and low 40s for portions of interior Northeastern Minnesota.

"If you have plants which are sensitive to frost, take action to protect them tonight," the National Weather Service said.
