A layer of moisture near the surface has resulted in areas of fog and light snow showers early Monday morning. Please be mindful of potentially slick roads with patches of light snow accumulation and reduced visibility. The thickest fog is found to our west with a dense fog advisory in effect for Beltrami County until 11 a.m. Once the morning fog clears, gray skies remain with temperatures staying rather stagnant in the low 30s. A break in the clouds may be found for parts of Northwest Wisconsin and north of the Iron Range Monday afternoon.

Areas of fog may return Monday night with mostly cloudy skies lingering, keeping temperatures mild once again. Warmer air moves in on a breezy west wind Tuesday with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s. The warmth continues Wednesday with a bit of sun to finally break through across the region. Clouds return Thursday. We continue to track the potential for a system to bring snow and strong winds to the region this weekend.

Monday: Areas of morning fog and light snow, then cloudy. Steady temps around 30. SW wind 2-8 mph. Monday night: Mostly cloudy with areas of fog possible. Low 26. W wind 5-10 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy and breezy. High 38. W wind 10-15 mph.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy. High 42. W wind 5-15 mph.
