A cold front passes Thursday bringing light snow showers. The system extends along the international border in the morning, then the more widespread round moves west to east in the morning and afternoon, possibly mixing with rain east of the Bayfield Peninsula. The Twin Ports is on the northern edge of this round with a dusting to an inch for east central Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. Scattered flurries may linger Thursday evening. Snow chances overnight are limited to the South Shore for Iron and Gogebic counties.

Thursday will otherwise be mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 20s to low 30s. High pressure takes away our clouds overnight allowing temperatures to drop into the single digits to teens for a chilly start to our Friday. Highs once again struggle to warm past freezing. A system will bring the chance for a wintry mix Saturday evening into Sunday. Precipitation type remains in question, but as of now, the best chance for light snow accumulation is north of the Iron Range.

Thursday: Mostly sunny. High around 32. W wind 5-15 mph. Thursday night: Decreasing clouds. Low 14. W wind 5-10 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny and cool. High 32. W wind becoming S 5-10 mph.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a chance for rain and snow by evening. High 40. S wind 10-15 mph.
