A quiet start to an otherwise rain-chance-filled week

A couple of rounds of rain showers will be possible this week and weekend.

An area of high pressure across Manitoba will work to keep our regional weather fairly quiet as we head into the start of the work week. However, further to the west in the Rocky Mountains, our next system is getting itself organized. This system will begin to move eastwards on Tuesday, and in doing so it will pass to our south, but still close enough to bring a few rain showers into our region.

Precipitation will become a bit more widespread by Thursday and Friday, and possibly into the weekend, as another system moves out of Nebraska and into northern Minnesota by Friday. With this system, a cold front will move through the region, allowing for temperatures to become a bit cooler, but also bringing in breezy conditions through the weekend.
