A massive crash on Interstate 94 on Sunday afternoon between Osseo and Foster in Eau Claire County, Wis., involved 40 vehicles and left seven people injured. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol: The crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. Forty vehicles were involved: seven semitrailer-trucks and 33 automobiles. Among the seven injuries was one that was life-threatening. All traffic was rerouted from the location of the pile-up. Traffic on both directions of I-94 was moving again by about 5:30 p.m.
MENOMONIE, Wis. — The man charged with a triple homicide after being accused of driving the wrong way down Interstate 94 last year was sentenced Monday, April 30, to 75 years in prison. Serghei Kundilovski, 36, of Orangevale, Calif., pleaded guilty in November 2017 in Dunn County Court to three counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. On Monday, Dunn County Judge James Peterson sentenced Kundilovski for 25 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision for each count of homicide to be served consecutively.
MENOMONIE, Wis. — One person is injured after being hit by a Menomonie Police Department squad car while lying in the street early Sunday, Oct. 15. According to a news release from the Dunn County Sheriff's Office: At about 1 a.m. Sunday, the sheriff's office received report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian being struck by a Menomonie squad car on Wilson Avenue. The squad car had been westbound on Wilson Avenue when the driver noticed someone lying in the street. Despite swerving, the officer was unable to avoid hitting the person.

A former Louisiana man was sentenced last week in Sawyer County Circuit Court to 10 years in prison for killing his girlfriend earlier this year. Kerry L. Stevenson, 52, who pleaded guilty in August to homicide by intoxicated use of a firearm, also was placed on extended supervision for 10 years once released from prison, and ordered to pay $247,092 in restitution and fines. Stevenson killed Claudia Bunny, 48, of New York. She was shot in the head Jan. 18 and died a week later. Police received a call at 1:40 a.m. Jan.
BARRON, Wis. — A 50-year-old Rice Lake, Wis., man sentenced in 2008 to seven years in prison on convictions of possession of pornography and filming partially clothed juvenile girls has been charged with using a false name on Facebook in violation of his extended supervision. Duane K. Wisner was reportedly using Internet access and had a Facebook account of Enaud Rensiw, his real name backward, according to Barron County Court records.
