Katrina Newman tied for game-high honors with 19 points, but Minnesota Duluth couldn't overcome woeful field-goal shooting in a 61-57 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference loss Friday night at Romano Gym.
The Bulldogs (11-12 overall, 8-11 NSIC) shot 32.3 percent from the field (21-for-65) to dip below .500 in the standings, while the Wolves (15-8, 11-8) shot 54.3 percent.
Alison Kusler also had 19 points and Megan Mutchler and Rachel Krogman scored 16 apiece for Northern State, which overcame a 46-40 deficit in the final nine minutes with a 14-1 run.
