Wilderness edge Anchorage on third-period goal

CLOQUET — Eddie Shepler's third-period goal proved the difference for the Minnesota Wilderness on Saturday, Oct. 1 in a 2-1 North American Hockey League win over the Anchorage Wolverines at Northwoods Credit Union Arena.
It's Minnesota's third consecutive one-goal win.
Noah Griswold put Minnesota ahead with a power play goal at 14:52 of the first period but the Wilderness lead lasted less than two minutes when Andy Rasmey made it 1-1.
The teams remained deadlocked through 2 1/2 periods before Shepler struck for his second goal of the season at 12:10.
Konrad Kausch got the start in goal for the Wilderness, making 27 saves.
