CROMWELL-WRIGHT (7-0) AT WRENSHALL (6-1)
What: District 9 White game
When: 7 p.m.
Outlook: These Section 5 hopefuls enter the regular-season finale dominant on both sides of the ball. Cromwell-Wright (49 points per game) and Wrenshall (47) rank fourth and fifth among Nine-Man scoring averages. Defensively, the Cardinals (allowing 7.4 points per game) and Wrens (8.1) are 1-2. Since losing to Underwood on Sept. 4, 2015, second-ranked Cromwell-Wright has won 20 regular-season games in a row, including last year's 56-14 victory at Wrenshall. Nic Johnson (59 carries, 873 yards, 13 TDs) and Cameron Cahoon (56-461, eight) are the leading rushers for a ground game piling up close to 300 yards a night. Cahoon also boasts a team-high five interceptions defensively, while Jaden Gronner has nine sacks. Cardinals coach Jeff Gronner is trying for his 120th career win. He is 119-36 in 14 seasons. ... Wrenshall has won three straight since a 26-8 loss at Isle, a game Tyler Kelley missed because of injury. He's since returned, and the senior (77 carries, 899 yards, 16 TDs), along with his younger brother, Jared Kelley (122-1,439, 17), give the Wrens a potent duo out of the backfield. Wrenshall shut out its first three opponents during a 3-0 start.
