Hanna Meyer recorded 18 kills and Kate Berg added 15 to lead sixth-ranked Minnesota Duluth to a sweep of NSIC foe Minot State on Friday night in Minot, N.D.
Emily Torve totaled 46 set assists and Keena Seiffert had 15 digs as the Bulldogs improved to 9-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference with the 25-21, 25-23, 25-10 victory.
Shelby Spuller had a team-high 16 kills for the Beavers (6-6, 1-3).
• Bethel University jumped in front of St. Scholastica from the beginning and never let up, winning their nonconference match 25-18, 25-16, 25-22 in St. Paul on Friday. Tina Hoppe and Brooke Olstad posted 12 kills for the Beavers (9-2), while Brooke Schermann led the Saints (2-5) with 17 kills.
St. Scholastica also lost to Luther College 3-1 in St. Paul. Anna Larson paced Luther (7-3) with 18 kills and Sam Sixta registered 26 set assists. Schermann had 18 kills, and Emily Bounds added 12 for the Saints.
• Bethel University also swept Wisconsin-Superior 25-22, 25-20, 25-15 in nonconference action in St. Paul. Maria Claflin had 11 kills for Bethel (8-2) and Hoppe added 10. Taylor Howe led the Yellowjackets (5-5) with 11 kills, and Emily VerWay totaled 30 set assists.
