College volleyball: UMD to host Bemidji State at Amsoil Arena

Minnesota Duluth's home opener against Bemidji State on Sept. 6 will be played at Amsoil Arena, the Bulldogs' first appearance at the eight-year-old facility.

"We love playing on our home court at Romano Gym but this will be a great and unique experience for the players and fans and we look forward to the matchup with Bemidji State at Amsoil Arena," UMD coach Jim Boos said in a statement.

Romano Gym, the home to Bulldogs volleyball since 1977, is undergoing renovations. Phase Two of the Romano 2020 Project is expected to be completed in early September.

Tickets to the match, which starts at 6 p.m., are $12 (tickets are included for season-ticket holders) and free to UMD students.
