Professional Minnesota photographers Jon Smithers and Craig Blacklock are going viral with a drone image over Lake Superior showing a large section of cliff collapsing Monday near a group of touring paddlers in kayaks.

The photographers were working on the lake in northern Michigan, documenting Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Drone video shows a camera swing toward a section of cliffs as it collapses into the water, spraying the paddlers.

Blacklock, who operates out of his studio in Moose Lake, told the News Tribune the video was being pursued by international news and weather organizations.
