Quarterback Skyler Murray helped the Greyhounds complete the first undefeated regular season (8-0 overall, 5-0 North Country Conference) in school history by scoring five touchdowns, rushing for 176 yards and passing for 100 in the Greyhounds' 51-8 victory over host Detroit Lakes (5-3, 4-1) on Wednesday night.
The victory clinched the North Country title for Duluth East.
The Greyhounds and Lakers traded touchdowns and 2-point conversions early in the first quarter, but Duluth East scored 43 unanswered points to dominate the rest of the game. Running back Erik Neilsen scored East's other two touchdowns.
