Haley Irwin scored a pair of goals for the third consecutive game, Jocelyne Larocque had four assists, and Minne-sota Duluth handed goal-tender Alyssa Grogan her first collegiate loss in a 4-2 Western Collegiate Hockey Association victory over top-ranked Minnesota on Friday night at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis.

The Bulldogs (16-6-3 overall, 11-5-3-1 WCHA) scored four second-period goals, including three in a three-minute, 16-second span, while former Clo-quet-Esko-Carlton goalie Johanna Ellison (4-0) stopped 34 of 36 shots to remain unbeaten this season.

Ellison started in place of injured goalie Kim Martin, who hurt her knee last weekend in Mankato, Minn.

Grogan, a freshman from Eagan, Minn., was 9-0-1 in her first 10 decisions for Minnesota (21-3-1, 16-2-1-1).

Pernilla Winberg and Laura Fridfinnson also scored and Elin Holmlov had three assists for UMD.
