The Minnesota Duluth men moved up to a tie at No. 2 in the PairWise Rankings following a series sweep at Michigan Tech last weekend, while the UMD women moved up to No. 6.
The UMD men (17-5-3) won 5-0 and 3-0 over the Huskies to move up one spot from last week and are tied with fellow Western Collegiate Hockey Association members North Dakota and Denver. The Bulldogs, idle this weekend, are No. 5 in the U.S. College Hockey Online poll of media and coaches. The computerized PairWise Rankings mimic the NCAA tournament selection process.
The UMD women (12-7-3) lost 4-1 and tied 4-4 against top-ranked Wisconsin at Amsoil Arena. The Bulldogs are also No. 6 in the U.S. College Hockey Online poll. UMD is home with Bemidji State on Friday and Saturday.
