Minnesota Duluth is scheduled to close out 2020 with a nonconference showdown against Bemidji State on New Year's Eve at Sanford Center in Bemidji, and then will drop the puck on 2021 against the Beavers two days later on Jan. 2 at Amsoil Arena.
The NCHC released its 2020-21 conference schedule on April 8 and UMD tweeted out the home games for the Bulldogs men's hockey schedule that day. The full 2020-21 schedule (minus times) is now available on UMDBulldogs.com .
The UMD athletic department is still delaying season ticket renewals due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic , which put an early end to the 2019-20 season. An NCHC and NCAA postseason originally set to be played without fans was quickly canceled after college campuses across the country began to shut down and moved classes online.
The Bulldogs game in Bemidji on New Year's Eve is the only change from the schedule the News Tribune originally compiled in early April.
For the moment, the 2021 NHL Winter Classic between the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild on Jan. 1 at Target Field in Minneapolis is sandwiched in between the nonconference series between the Beavers and Bulldogs in Bemidji and Duluth.
