Jon Empanger of Island View Golf Course shot a 2-over-par 73 Tuesday to tie for the lead after two rounds of the Minnesota Golf Association Senior Championship at Northland Country Club.
Mark Knutson of Hazeltine Golf Course shot a 75 and is tied with Empanger at 5-over 147 on the 6,451-yard, par-71 course.
Two triple bogeys cost first-round leader Bill Tadewald, who is two off the pace at 7-over.
The top 36 plus ties qualified for today's final 18 holes.
