Triathlon: Duluth woman 5th in Ironman age group

Ann Sudoh of Duluth placed fifth in the women's 40-44 age group in the Ironman Wisconsin on Sept. 11 in Madison. She finished the 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run in 11 hours, 17 minutes, 30 seconds and placed 222nd overall.

Sudoh, 40, earned a spot in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Her Wisconsin split times were 1:01:33 in the swim, 6:02:54 in the bike and 4:02:25 in the marathon run.
