Adam Schwartz-Lowe not only won the Master Division of the Superior 100 Fall Trail Race, the 41-year-old from Duluth topped the entire field to take the title, traveling from the Gooseberry Falls State Park Visitors’ Center to Caribou Highlands Lodge in Lutsen, Minn., in 21 hours, 58 minutes and 32 seconds.
Schwartz-Lowe won the 100-mile trail race by a comfortable 54 minutes and six seconds over 21-year-old Michael Borst of La Crosse, Wis., who finished second.
Winnipeg, Manitoba’s Mallory Richard, 29, won the women’s Superior 100 in 27:32:27 while Hermantown’s Leslie Semler, 33, took fourth in 31:28:28.
Duluth’s Chris Rubesch, 28, won the 50-mile men’s race in 8:56:33 and Kristin Rognerud, 33, of Duluth won the women’s 50-miler in 11:52:51.
In the marathon, Ben Kampf, 28, of Minneapolis won the men’s race in 3:32:27 and Jyna Tilstra, 25, of Northfield, Minn., won the women’s event.
