Minnesota Duluth’s Haleigh Reindl finished seventh in the 800 meters at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday in Allendale, Michigan, earning her All-American honors.

Reindl ran a personal-best time of 2 minutes, 8.77 seconds in the championship race after placing second in her heat during Friday’s preliminaries.

Haleigh is the first UMD All-American since Danielle Kowhley accomplished the feat in 2019.

Reindl, who plans on taking advantage of the extra season of eligibility granted by the NCAA, is a sophomore athletically.
