The St. Scholastica men and women competed outdoors Saturday for the first time since 2019, and each won three events at the Pioneer Open in Platteville, Wisconsin.

On the men’s side, Jericho Peterson of Mountain Iron captured the 400-meter dash in 51.40 seconds; Easton Foss won the steeplechase by more than 44 seconds in 9:41.20; and Lars Dewall edged CSS teammate Calvin Boone at the finish line of the 1,500 despite both runners posting a time of 4:02.81.

In women’s action, Ellie Sholing won the 400 in 1:00.34; Melissa Pfeiffer claimed the steeplechase victory in 13:03.14; and the 3,200 relay team of Sholing, Kate Chromy, Lexi Erickson of International Falls and Proctor graduate Annika Voss outdueled Wisconsin-Platteville to win with a time of 10:30.08.
