College track and field: Tolkinen, Wiechman key UMD men
Minnesota Duluth's Ryan Tolkinen and Sam Wiechman each won a pair of events to key the Bulldogs' strong showing at Saturday's Yellowjacket Open on the Wisconsin-Superior campus.
Tolkinen was first in the 200-meter hurdles, setting a program record of 24.69 seconds. He also bested the long-jump field with a mark of 21 feet, 5 ¼ inches.
Wiechman claimed titles in the 200 meters (23.60 seconds) and 60 hurdles (8.87).
