Esko sophomore Zoie Johnson has been chosen to represent Minnesota in Down Under Sports' track and field competition in Australia in July.
Johnson has personal records of 35 feet, 5 inches, in the shot put and 100-4 in the discus. She missed qualifying for the Class A state meet by one place in the shot put last May as a freshman.
Johnson is the daughter of Minnesota Duluth track and field All-American and national shot put and discus champion Kerrick Johnson and UMD softball player Bridget Vesel-Johnson.
