Outlook: The Panthers shut out Cherry 28-0 last week, scoring all their points in the second quarter to earn their fifth consecutive victory. South Ridge outrushed the Tigers 241-42, led by Connor Bushbaum’s 104-yard effort. Bushbaum (82 carries, 603 yards) leads the team in rushing, has scored nine touchdowns and has 1,013 all-purpose yards. Logan Young has added 288 yards rushing on 50 attempts. South Ridge won last year’s meeting 30-0. … The Mariners also posted a shutout, 37-0 over Cook County, to record their third whitewash of the season. Mason Ollman rushed for 255 yards and scored three touchdowns and now leads the Northland in rushing yards (981), all-purpose yards (1,094) and has 11 touchdowns. Both teams are vying for the top seed in their respective sections.
