Aaron Miller had a goal and three assists Thursday night as No. 3-ranked Superior defeated No. 4 Fond du Lac 6-3 in a Wisconsin high school boys tournament quarterfinal game at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
The Spartans (19-7-1) advance to play Eau Claire Memorial (21-6-1) in today's 8 p.m. semifinals. Memorial defeated Whitefish Bay 2-1. Top-ranked Green Bay Notre Dame (25-1-1) faces Verona (26-2) in the other semifinal game.
Superior split games with Memorial during the regular season.
Fond du Lac (22-4-2) trailed 2-0 but tied the game 2-2 and later 3-3, early in the third period, on three goals by Michael Wilson.
Superior's Tyler Nystrom (with his second goal of the game and 24th this season) and Anthony Bronson scored 80 seconds apart for a 5-3 lead 5:43 into the third period. Beau Reder added a goal at 9:42. Miller scored in the first period for his 35th goal of the season.

Superior led in shots on goal 28-15 with goalie Paxton Paine making 12 saves for the victory.
