MINNEAPOLIS -- Lakeview Christian Academy's hopes of winning its first boys basketball state tournament game are in jeopardy after one half of its Minnesota Class A quarterfinal today against Rushford-Peterson.
The fourth-seeded Trojans hold a 42-27 lead over the No. 5 Lions at Williams Arena.
Rushford-Peterson hit seven 3-pointers in the half, four by Charlie Krambeer, while Lakeview has been ineffective from outside. Seth Thompson leads the Trojans with 13 points and Krambeer has 12.
LCA senior guard Anders Broman leads all scorers with 14. Minnesota's all-time leading scorer has hit 6 of 10 field goals, but only one from 3-point range.
The winner advances to face top-ranked Maranatha Christian Academy, a 61-44 victor over Mountain Lake, in Friday's semifinals at Target Center.
