Sound Off: Lincoln Park field should be utilized

I would like to know why the Duluth Denfeld eighth-grade junior football team isn’t allowed to play and practice on the new field at Lincoln Park Middle School? They are now playing and practicing at the Irving location. When visiting teams come to play, we are not showing them our best side by utilizing the Irving field. Irving is in a low spot and the field is always wet and muddy.
Also, why don’t all the team members play? I counted 32 players or more at a recent game. While watching a game I was a little disappointed to see maybe 11 to 13 players had the opportunity to play. I have attended some of the practices and see all of the young men working hard, only to show up for a game and stand on the sidelines. All of the young men pay to play and I would like to see all of them utilized during games.
