Bethany Lutheran rallied with three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Wisconsin-Superior 7-6 then rolled to an 11-3 win in the five-inning rematch Thursday in a UMAC softball doubleheader before 50 in Mankato, Minnesota.
Morgan Mashlan’s RBI double scored Eden Ambrose with the winning run in the opener. Mashlan finished with two hits and two RBIs and Ambrose scored three runs to lead the Vikings while shortstop Kaela Kraemer had three hits, four runs and an RBI to lead the Yellowjackets.
Alyssa Kosta had two hits and three RBIs as Bethany Lutheran (16-12 overall, 9-1 UMAC) pounded out 14 hits in the second game.
Kraemer had two hits, two runs and an RBI and Olivia Bancroft-Hart had a hit and two RBIs to lead UWS (14-12, 7-7).
