Tori Bishop was a combined 4-for-5 with two home runs and five RBIs as 19th-ranked St. Scholastica swept Wisconsin-Superior 6-3 and 6-3 in a UMAC softball doubleheader Wednesday at Kenwood Field in Duluth.
The Saints have now won 13 straight.
Haley Rosenthal tossed a six-hitter with four strikeouts to earn the win in the opener. Grace Hadlich paced the offense with three hits, two runs and an RBI while Bishop and Josie Fourre added home runs. Tayler Kraemer, who took the pitching loss, had three hits and a run to lead UWS.
Olivia Howe tossed an eight-hitter in the rematch, allowing only two earned runs and striking out seven, while Bishop got another homer, this one a three-run blast to lead CSS (25-3, 8-0). Tayler and Kaela Kraemer had two hits apiece to lead UWS (11-9, 4-4).
St. Scholastica is ranked in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association NCAA Division III Top 25 poll for the first time since the 2006 season, coming in at No. 19.
