St. Scholastica opened its UMAC season Thursday with a doubleheader sweep of Crown College at St. Bonifacius, Minnesota.

In a 9-0, five-inning victory in the first game, Haley Rosenthal tossed a no-hitter and walked two to raise her record to 8-2. She helped her cause with a two-run double in a five-run second inning.

Olivia Howe had three hits and three RBIs, Grace Hadlich was 3-for-4 with a two-run single and Nicole Anders scored three runs and had two hits.

The Saints (17-3, 2-0) won the second game 14-5 in six innings to record their fifth victory in a row as winning pitcher Howe had three hits and five RBIs, including a two-run homer in the third inning. Hadlich was 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs and Toni Bishop was 3-for-3 in a 17-hit attack. Aislind Dail added a homer and a triple.
