St. Scholastica settled for a split in closing out the Mount Mary College Slugger Series Friday at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex in Peoria, Illinois.

The Saints opened the day by pounding tournament host Mount Mary 18-9 as the Saints had 20 hits, their most since 2018, while scoring in every inning.

Junior Olivia Howe led the way with three hits and four RBIs, including a two-run home run and double. Senior right-fielder Nicole Anders added three hits and three RBIS as five St. Scholastica players had three hits apiece, while Sam Allen had four hits to lead Mount Mary (1-6).

Freshman Aislind Dail hit her first collegiate home run, but it wasn’t enough as the Saints (10-2) fell 7-3 to Dubuque in their final game of the series. Nicolette Evans tossed a three-hitter with three strikeouts to lead the Spartans (3-1).
