St. Scholastica scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to down Juniata College 4-3 in nonconference action Friday in Leesburg, Florida.

Kayla Christopherson reached base, advanced on Nicole Anders’ single and then scored the tying run on an error. Anders came home on a wild pitch to even the Saints’ record at 7-7 in their spring trip finale.

Olivia Howe had two of the Saints’ five hits, including a fourth-inning home run to start the Saints back from a 2-0 deficit. Christopherson also doubled in a run.

Haley Rosenthal tossed a seven-hitter and struck out six.

St. Scholastica rallied to win the opener 5-4 in eight innings over Hood College.

After Hood (2-9) scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 4-3 lead, the Saints scored the tying run on an error in the top of the seventh. In the eighth, pinch runner Megan Hautajarvi scored the winning run on another error.

Howe was 3-for-5, while Anders and Christopherson each had two of CSS’ 11 hits.

Rosenthal earned the win in relief of Howe, allowing three hits and one run in 2 2/3 innings.
