Minnesota State-Mankato forcefully ended Minnesota Duluth's first winning streak of the season, rolling to a 5-1 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women's soccer victory on Sunday in Mankato.

The Bulldogs entered the game off back-to-back wins but found themselves trailing in the 13th minute after Nadia Lowery's goal, then went behind 2-0 after the first of two goals from Jenny Vetter.

The Mavericks held a 14-4 advantage in shots on target.

Anna Tobias had a 75th-minute consolation goal for UMD (2-10-1, 2-7-1 NSIC). Sophia Grenz made six saves and Jennifer Norris three.

The Bulldogs return to the pitch on Friday at home against Wayne State.
