Augsburg, the only Division III team to defeat Wisconsin-Superior in the abbreviated 2021 spring season, got the better of the Yellowjackets again on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021. Kobby Owu scored a 'golden goal' in the first minute of overtime for a 2-1 Auggies victory at NBC Spartan Sports Complex.

Augsburg, which had a 7-2 advantage in shots on target in the non-league game, took a first-half lead through Helio de la Torre in the 40th minute.

Brandon Conklin equalized for UWS in the 69th minute, sending the game to a very short extra session of just 49 seconds.

Payton Anderson made five saves for the UWS men (0-1), who host Concordia (Minn.) on Saturday at noon.

St. Mary's stymies UWS women

St. Mary's held Wisconsin-Superior to just two shots on target and put two shots in the target for a 2-0 non-conference women's soccer win on Wednesday afternoon at NBC Spartan Sports Complex.

Haddy Falkman put the Cardinals up 1-0 in the sixth minute before a second-half insurance goal from Brooklyn McKinney in the 75th.

Jenna Lang made eight saves for UWS (0-1), which hosts Lakeland College on Sunday at noon.
