College soccer: UWS men, St. Scholastica women headline UMAC brackets
Both the UMAC men's and women's postseason soccer tournaments get underway Monday, with the championship games slated for Saturday at the highest seeds remaining.
On the men's side, Wisconsin-Superior (16-2-1 overall, 11-0-1 UMAC) earned its first No. 1 seed and will host the winner of Monday's play-in game between No. 5 Crown College (6-12-1, 6-6) and No. 4 Minnesota-Morris (6-11-3, 6-4-2) in the semifinals on Wednesday. In the other semifinal that day, No. 3 Martin Luther (8-8-2, 7-3-2) is at second-seeded St. Scholastica (10-7-2, 9-2-1).
The women's tournament is headlined by top-seeded St. Scholastica (13-4-2, 11-0-1), conference regular-season champ for the first time since 2015, which will welcome either No. 5 Minnesota-Morris (6-10, 6-6) or No. 4 UWS (7-10-2, 6-5-1) on Wednesday. The other semifinal Wednesday pits third-seeded Northland (7-8-2, 6-4-2) at No. 2 Northwestern (9-6-4, 9-2-1).
