Dylan Sumner scored a pair of goals as Duluth FC closed the regular season with a 5-2 victory over the Sioux Falls Thunder in a National Premier Soccer League match Friday at Public Schools Stadium in Duluth.
After Sumner scored in the 16th minute, the Thunder came back with a pair of goals by Stevenson Storm in the 19th and 30th minutes before Sumner tied it 2-2 with a goal in the 41st minute.
Martin Grzywa, Sidney Warden and James Westfield all scored in the second half to put it away, with the goal for Grzywa being his first of the season. Warden leads the league with 16 goals.
Duluth will open the NPSL playoffs Tuesday but the location and opponent will not be set until this weekend.
