Abbie Morris and Brooke Lauritzen earned pitching victories to lead Wisconsin-River Falls to 5-2 and 10-0 victories over St. Scholastica in the Saints' season opener on Friday at the Vadnais Heights Sports Center in Vadnais Heights, Minn.

Kasandra McCabe had a two-run single in the first inning to lead St. Scholastica in the opener before the Falcons came back with four runs in the bottom half of the inning. That was all Morris would need as she pitched a four-hitter with 12 strikeouts.

The second game was all River Falls as the Falcons (5-1) scored eight runs in the first three innings en route to the five-inning victory. Kara Warren, Rendi Johnson and Sydney Gordon had the lone hits for the Saints (0-2).
