St. Scholastica was in a pair of a 1-0 games with Keystone (Pa.) on Tuesday in Fort Pierce, Fla., dropping the first game before rebounding to win the second game.

Keystone's Rob Rodgers won his duel with Kyle Jensen in the opener after the Giants took advantage of back-to-back Saints errors in the bottom of the seventh to help push a run across. It was the first time the Saints had been shut out in 180 consecutive contests dating to a 2-0 loss to St. Thomas on March 1, 2009.

In the rematch, Mickie Keuning of Duluth and Thomas Rogers of Cloquet combined to shut down the Giants (9-4) offensively, while Austin Colvard scored the winning run for the Saints (4-3) with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

It is believed to be the first time in St. Scholastica baseball history that both games of a doubleheader were decided by 1-0 scores.
