Jesse Heaton, Jake Casareto and John Hietpas each had two hits and two RBIs as St. Scholastica beat Northwestern College 12-4 on Sunday in St. Paul to close out Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play unbeaten for just the third time since 2003 and first time since 2006.

Seven players had two hits apiece as the Saints (30-9 overall, 21-0 UMAC) pounded out 20 hits, while Michael Swenson earned the pitching win in relief.

Leadoff hitter Cody Kielsa had a home run to lead Northwestern (24-14, 15-6).

St. Scholastica will host the UMAC tournament Thursday through Saturday at Wade Stadium against an opponent still to be determined as rain has pushed games back to today.
