St. Scholastica was assigned to the Division III Whitewater Regional for a third straight year Monday as the 56-team tournament field was announced.

The Saints were an automatic entry after winning the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference playoff tournament last week. St. Scholastica (33-9) faces North Park University (29-15) of Chicago at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the first round of the regional in Whitewater, Wis. It will mark the first time the programs have met.

St. Scholastica is in the Division III tournament for an eighth straight year.

The University of St. Thomas (33-7) of St. Paul is the top seed in the regional and faces St. Norbert College (26-11) of De Pere, Wis., in the first round.
