Grandma's Marathon will present a $5,000 check to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network on Monday in recognition of former executive director Scott Keenan's 37 years with Grandma's Marathon.
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's mission is one that is very near to Keenan due to the loss of two Grandma's Marathon friends and board members, as well as the ongoing fight of a lifelong friend.
In 2013, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's Team Hope brought more than 175 runners to Grandma's Marathon weekend of events, raising more than $101,000 for the charity. For more information on the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, visit www.pancan.org .
