Gregg Robertson edged fellow Duluth runner David Hyopponen at the finish line in Saturday's Paavo Nurmi Marathon in Hurley, Wis.
Robertson and Hyopponen, who ran together the whole 26.2 miles, were each timed in 2 hours, 56 minutes and 59 seconds.
Robertson qualified for the 2018 Boston Marathon with his performance and Hyopponen used it as a training run for the upcoming Superior 100.
