Goaltender Colin Rundell saved all 50 shots as St. Scholastica posted its first shutout this season with a 3-0 victory over No. 4-ranked Wisconsin-Eau Claire in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game Friday night at Mars Lakeview Arena.
Brandon Nowakowski scored two goals and Brett Corcoran had one for the Saints (11-12-1 overall, 7-9-1), who beat a ranked opponent for the third consecutive time and moved into home-ice position for the first round of the Peters Cup playoffs.
St. Scholastica closes the regular season at home tonight against Wisconsin-River Falls.
Brandon Stephenson had 34 saves for the Blugolds (18-4-2, 13-3-1), who can clinch first place outright tonight at Superior.
